This Privacy Policy describes how ScanFort (“ScanFort”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you visit scanfort.com or use ScanFort Proxy, including the web interface hosted at beta.proxy.scanfort.com.
1. Project Status
ScanFort is an independent, unregistered indie software project operated from India. It is currently provided on an experimental and beta basis.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
At this time, we do not intentionally collect, store, or process:
- Personal information
- Account information
- Authentication credentials
- Payment information
- Browsing history
- Intercepted traffic or payload data
3. How ScanFort Proxy Works
ScanFort Proxy consists of:
- A local proxy backend that you download and run on your own machine
- A web-based interface hosted at beta.proxy.scanfort.com
The intercepted HTTP and WebSocket traffic remains on your local system. ScanFort does not receive, log, or store intercepted request or response data.
4. Hosting & Infrastructure
The ScanFort landing site and proxy interface are hosted using third-party infrastructure providers such as Vercel.
These providers may collect limited technical data (such as IP addresses or request metadata) as part of standard hosting and security operations. This data is governed by the respective provider’s privacy policies.
5. Cookies & Tracking
ScanFort does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers at this time.
6. Future Changes
As ScanFort evolves, we may introduce optional features that require data collection (for example, authentication, syncing, or usage analytics).
If this occurs, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such changes take effect.
7. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of ScanFort Proxy complies with all applicable laws, including obtaining proper authorization before intercepting or inspecting network traffic.
